ANN ARBOR, Michigan, June 3, 2021 – Medical Advantage, a national healthcare consulting firm and a business unit of the TDC Group of companies – a group featuring the nation’s largest physician-owned provider of insurance, risk management, and healthcare practice improvement solutions – announced today its selection as one of Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2021. This is the third consecutive year that Medical Advantage has received this designation.
“In a period that has been particularly trying for both our employees and clients, I couldn’t be prouder of the way our team has risen to the challenge, and delivered when it was needed most,” said Medical Advantage President Paul MacLellan. “I believe the high-quality work our team has done, and continues to do, is a testament to the encouraging, open, and collaborative workplace culture we’ve built here at Medical Advantage.”
The announcement comes after a year in which the company saw growth and the addition of several dynamic service lines.
To serve clients during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, Medical Advantage further built out its telehealth consulting solutions – in addition to advising organizations on setting up vaccination programs, how to bill and code for COVID-related procedures, and a host of other services to help practices through the pandemic.
Another focus for Medical Advantage in the past year was enhancing practice marketing and remote patient monitoring solutions, as well as Healthcare IT, analytics, and dashboarding software services. The company’s landmark new Healthcare Dashboards tool and associated consulting services have provided a scalable analytics solution for Physician Groups, Private Equity backed entities, independent practices, and other specialties looking to take control of their organization’s performance.
“Medical Advantage is saving us dollars by keeping people from doing mundane work. They’re removing work and workflow redundancy, which is a big thing in business,” said one client, an orthopedic specialist group on the East Coast.
All of these service lines align with the company’s core values of delivering better care and empowering clients – but perhaps none more so than behavioral health. Behavioral health quickly became a core focus for Medical Advantage over the past year, as more and more patients turned to providers for help – and those providers needed help themselves.
“Now more than ever, we’re honored and humbled to support providers and patients with enhancing care coordination, improving access to behavioral health, and addressing social determinants of health,” said Meghan Sheridan, Care Management Director and Medical Advantage. “What’s more, we’re proud to do it in a way that reduces burden on the provider, rather than contributing to burnout.”
This empowering of clients and colleagues, acting with urgency, and delivering results are some of Medical Advantage’s core company values – and it’s clear how these values make it one of healthcare’s best places to work.
“The business of healthcare is changing at a lightning pace, and our clients are experiencing that reality every day at the point-of-care. They need a partner who can match that pace, and bring the services and expertise needed to stay ahead of the curve,” said Bill Riley, Medical Advantage Director of Sales and Marketing. “Our ever-expanding service portfolio is a reflection of all we do to keep their trust, and partner with them in their success and this year has been a great example of that.”
