Medical Advantage Expands Its Collaboration With Wellbox, Inc.

by | Feb 15, 2021

Wellbox, a market-leading provider of virtual care solutions, and Medical Advantage, an innovator in maximizing physician clinical and financial performance at the point of care, are proud to announce an expansion of their existing collaboration focused on increasing participation in Wellbox’s value-based virtual care service offerings, which include care management and remote patient monitoring services.

Wellbox is a leading provider of care management solutions that have been proven to lower healthcare costs, prevent hospital visits, and drive improved patient outcomes and engagement. One of the central components of Wellbox’s services is an integrated RN care manager, who is tasked with running monthly check-ins with high-risk patient populations. These care management services are fully integrated with office and EHR workflows and are Medicare-reimbursable — offering Medicare practices a no-cost resource to assist in managing high-risk populations.

This expanded collaboration will also allow Medical Advantage to offer Wellbox’s new, enhanced remote patient monitoring (RPM) services. Wellbox’s RPM solutions monitor, manage, and engage patients with common chronic diseases from the comfort of their own home, and facilitate the seamless transmission of that data to the patient’s care provider.

“Wellbox and Medical Advantage have been working together since 2019, and we couldn’t be happier to see this collaboration expand,” said Nat Findlay, Founder and CEO of Wellbox. “It’s a testament to what we have been able to accomplish so far, and an acknowledgment of the work left to be done by helping people living with chronic illnesses with virtual care.”

“As people and practices continue to feel the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the ongoing challenges of meeting the needs of the chronically-ill population, virtual care solutions such as care management and remote patient monitoring are proving invaluable to patients and providers alike,” said Meghan Sheridan, Director of Care Management at Medical Advantage. “We are excited to continue working with Wellbox to help our clients expand their virtual care offerings.”
