Medical Advantage Announces CIPA+, an Expanded Physician Organization (PO) Opportunity for Michigan Independent Physicians

CIPA+ provides increased revenue potential via access to risk contracts, with no fees and no downside financial risk. 

Novi, Michigan, November 30, 2021: Medical Advantage, a Michigan based company and part of TDC Group, announces the expansion of the Consortium of Independent Physicians Association (CIPA). The new CIPA+ is a Michigan physician organization (PO), providing independent physicians revenue growth opportunities across a range of payer contracts. Member physicians pay no fees to join, and receive ongoing support from an experienced, dedicated account manager. Medical Advantage assumes all financial downside risk for CIPA+ participants.

Independent physicians in CIPA+ gain access to two-sided risk contracts with leading payers in the state, with the benefit of no penalties. Member physicians gain access to value-based care (VBC) contracts from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, and other payers in the state. With a commitment to full transparency with our member physicians, the CIPA+ financial model includes a generous revenue share arrangement, with no up-front membership fees or ongoing monthly charges. 

CIPA+ physicians receive the benefit of a dedicated account manager providing regular check-ins (both in-person and virtual check-ins are available) to track the status of key projects, align on the next set of priorities, and assist the office staff wherever needed to improve quality and performance.

Examples include improved practice workflows, quality performance, cost of care management, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) integration for supplemental data and reporting. 

In addition, Medical Advantage provides practice marketing services (e.g., a new modern and engaging website) and EHR optimization consulting hours as CIPA+ practices meet a minimum threshold of patient lives in VBC contracts.
